SITUATION In November 2020, the Indonesian Fintech Association (AFTECH) held the Indonesia Fintech Summit for two weeks, in which Occam assisted with amplification through a series of media engagement activities. The event was to highlight topics surrounding the role of fintech in Indonesia’s economic recovery due to the pandemic. The event was participated by members of the Government, Bank Indonesia, OJK, and prominent local fintech players.
STRATEGY AND IMPLEMENTATION – Occam assisted AFTECH in hosting a virtual press conference at the peak of the event, involving spokespersons from the Government and fintech players, in which it was opened by a speech from President Joko Widodo. – The event did not only invite the media via Zoom, but also general public which they joined via YouTube Live, as the Zoom event was also relayed on AFTECH’s YouTube for the whole summit.
RESULT – The event was participated by 49 media from mainstream, business, techno and lifestyle desks. – The series of media engagements have successfully generated over 90 news coverage from both print and online media.
