With so many people locked up at home, the use of digital technology has grown more than before. People use digital devices to access information for work, study, entertainment and social interaction. While it provides space for many, it also fosters reliance on digital technology, which is linked to the hours spent in front of a screen. In the long run, using a digital screen for too long may have a negative impact on one’s well-being.

People who are attached to the screens are often inactive. Sitting in front of a computer or television for an extended period of time can increase the risk of gaining weight and developing diseases such as diabetes and other metabolic disorders.

Using devices at night can interfere with sleep quality because the light from the screen affects the body’s internal clock.
